Bangladesh: Cargo workers' strike disrupting operations at Chittagong Port as of Oct. 22

A labor strike by cargo transport workers at Chittagong port - the busiest and largest seaport in Bangladesh - has prompted shipping disruptions as of Oct. 22. The action is due to several demands to employers, including identity card provision. The strike, scheduled to last through 06:00 Oct. 23, has resulted in the suspension of cargo movement between the port and all 20 inland container depots.
