Activists to protest at UN House in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 17:00 on Oct. 17. Increased security, transport disruptions likely.
Activists plan to protest at the UN House in Sarajevo from 17:00 on Oct. 17. The purpose of the demonstration is to denounce recent decisions made by High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Schmidt. At least 50 intellectuals and public figures plan to participate; however, it is likely that additional supporters will attend.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the protest site. Though unlikely, low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.
Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near the protest site. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
