Canada: Police report area secured, two suspects in custody following reports of shots fired in Brampton, Ont., evening of Oct. 15

Heightened security will likely continue to affect the vicinity of Mountainash Road and Bovaird Drive East in Brampton, Ontario, over the short term after police responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection on the evening of Oct. 15. Authorities have reported that two suspects are in custody and one injured person has been transported to a hospital in connection with the incident. Officials added that the area was secured and remained closed as of around 19:30. Police did not immediately comment on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
