Water disruptions to occur for 18 hours in parts of New Delhi, India, from 10:00 Oct. 16 due to maintenance; business disruptions possible.
Water disruptions will occur in several parts of New Delhi for 18 hours from 10:00 Oct. 16 due to maintenance work. Utility provider Delhi Jal Board has indicated that the planned outages will impact several regions, including areas in and near Barwala, Bawana, Chandpur, Majra Dabas, Pooth Khurd, and Sultanpur Dabas. Authorities have advised affected residents to store sufficient water in advance to meet their needs during the outage and to use water judiciously during this period. Water tankers will be available upon request.
Business disruptions are possible during planned outages, especially for companies that rely on large quantities of municipal water for their operations. The water outages could extend beyond the estimated duration.
Stock up on drinking water and confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes.
