Officials in Iraq have reopened the country's airspace early Oct. 2 following a temporary closure the previous evening due to escalating security risks in the region, including an Iranian missile attack against Israel.
Residual disruptions will probably continue to affect flights transiting or serving Iraq for at least several hours after airport operations resume as airlines work to reposition aircraft and clear passenger backlogs.
