The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported that Iran has launched a missile attack against Israel as of late Oct. 1; authorities have instructed civilians to take immediate refuge in bomb shelters. The development comes a few hours after the US government stated that an attack from Iran against Israel was imminent.
Authorities will likely introduce several measures limiting large gatherings. Authorities may also close Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) for the duration of the aerial attack.
If incoming mortar rounds or rockets are reported or warning sirens sound in the general vicinity, report to the nearest bomb shelter and await further instructions from authorities. If no shelter is nearby, stay indoors and away from windows and exterior walls. If possible, move to a ground floor or basement. Maintain contact with diplomatic missions. Avoid all demonstrations and concentrations of security personnel. Consider avoiding nonessential travel to Israel and the Palestinian Territories until the situation stabilizes.
