Rocket attack on Majd al-Krum, northern Israel, kills at least two, injures five others, Oct. 25. Tight security, further attacks likely.
The Lebanese Hizballah (LH) has reportedly launched multiple rockets targeting locations in northern Israel on Oct. 25. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reportedly intercepted some of the rockets. At least two people were killed and five others injured in Majd al-Krum after shrapnel from a rocket and an interceptor missile fell on the town.
Heightened security and disruptions to transport and business are likely in the affected area over the coming hours. Further cross-border violence is likely over the coming hours and days.
Avoid the vicinity of the impact sites until authorities have given the all-clear and vacated the area. Monitor local media and abide by security forces' directives. If incoming mortar rounds or rockets are reported or warning sirens sound in the general vicinity, report to the nearest bomb shelter and await further instructions from authorities. If there is no shelter nearby, stay indoors and away from windows and exterior walls. If possible, move to a ground floor or basement. Maintain contact with your diplomatic representation. Consider avoiding nonessential travel to Israel until the situation stabilizes.
