Informational

Unionized automotive sector workers plan to demonstrate in Piazza Santi Apostoli, Rome, Italy, from 10:30 Oct. 25. The FILCTEM CGIL, FEMCA CISL, and UILTEC UIL labor unions have called for a 24-hour strike and demonstration to demand improved wages for non-metalworking workers, and for greater investment in the automotive sector. The unions represent around 40,000 workers across Italy; it is possible that low thousands will take part in the rally.

Increased security and localized road travel and transport disruptions are likely near the rally on Oct. 25. The event is likely to pass off peacefully.

Avoid all protests as a standard precaution. Plan for delays and alternative routes if operating in central Rome Oct. 25. Heed instruction from local authorities.
