Activists are protesting at the Esenyurt Municipality building on Dogan Arasli Boulevard in Esenyurt, Turkiye, as of early evening Oct. 30. Demonstrators are denouncing this morning's arrest of Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Ozer and demanding his release. At least several hundred participants appeared to be in attendance.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the protest site. Confrontations, potentially escalating to clashes, cannot be ruled out between demonstrators and law enforcement officers or opposed individuals.
