"Right to Life" activists to demonstrate in Adana and Istanbul, Turkiye, Oct. 27. Heightened security, localized disruptions likely.
Activists plan to protest in Adana and Istanbul on Oct. 27. The "Right to Life" campaign group will demand improved protection for women, children, and animals. Protestors will gather at the following locations:
Adana: At Kasim Gulek Bridge, from 15:00, then march to Ugur Mumcu Square.
Istanbul: At Besiktas, from 14:30.
It is possible that several hundred to low thousands will take part in each event, based on the campaign's previous demonstrations.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near all demonstration areas. Confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.
Avoid protest areas as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near any demonstration sites. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
