Argentina: Activist groups to march in central Buenos Aires during the early evening of Nov. 12
Activists to march in central Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Nov. 12 to demand funding for public education. Increased security likely.
Several activist groups, including members of Professors Association of the University of Buenos Aires (Asociacion Gremial Docente-Universidad Buenos Aires, AGD-UBA), plan to march in downtown Buenos Aires starting during the early evening of Nov. 12. The purpose of the action is to demand funding for public education and oppose the policies of President Javier Milei's administration. Participants will assemble at the Obelisco at 17:00 before marching to Plaza de Mayo.
Several thousand activists will probably participate in the demonstration, which will likely cause transport disruptions in the area. Heightened security is possible along the march route.
Avoid all protests as a precaution. Allow extra time to reach destinations near the march route through the evening of Nov. 12.
