Croatia: Unionized healthcare workers to strike nationwide on Nov. 11

Unionized healthcare professionals affiliated with Union Zajedno plan to strike nationwide on Nov. 11 to demand a pay increase. At least 4,000 medical professionals are expected to leave their jobs, affecting scheduled appointments and diagnostic services, including radiology and oncology. However, union officials have asserted that emergency services will not be disrupted.

Unless averted, the labor action will almost certainly cause significant disruptions to medical services. Union officials have not yet announced any demonstration plans. Still, associated rallies or picket protests are possible, especially in public squares and near government buildings.
