Members of the Dominican Medical Guild (Colegio Medico Dominicano, CMD) have suspended plans to stage a strike at hospitals nationwide as of Nov. 18. The initial purpose of the action was to demand improved salaries and benefits. The guild reached an agreement with authorities Nov. 15.
