The South East Central Railway company has announced rail disruptions will likely continue along the Bilaspur-Katni route between Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh State until Dec. 2 as they begin maintenance works. Up to 24 railway services have been canceled or diverted.
Additional passenger and freight train service cancellations and delays are likely. Heightened security and localized traffic disruptions are likely near the derailment site until clearance operations end. Associated lingering disruptions are possible.
Bilaspur is approximately 100km (62 miles) from Raipur, while Katni is 308km (191 miles) from Bhopal.
