Japan: Railway service disruptions on Setouchi Ohashi Line between Kojima and Utazu stations as of the morning of Nov. 10 due to electrical problem
Railway service disruptions between Kojima and Utazu stations in Okayama and Kagama, Japan, the morning of Nov. 3. Confirm rail schedules.
Authorities have suspended rail services in both directions on the Setouchi Ohashi Line between Kojima and Utazu railway stations in Okayama and Kagawa prefectures, respectively, as of the morning of Nov. 10. The cancellations are due to electrical problems with the overhead line on the Seto-Ohashi Bridge, the only direct bridge between the islands of Honshu and Shikoku. Officials did not state when services would resume.
Rail disruptions could continue throughout Nov. 10 as crews conduct repairs, and there will probably be increased demand for alternative modes of transport.
Kojima Station is approximately 24 km (15 miles) south-southwest of Okayama. Utazu Station is approximately 41 km (26 miles) south of Okayama.
Confirm rail schedules Nov. 10. Consider alternative transport for time-sensitive travel.
