Japan: Social activists to protest and march in Tokyo Nov. 7
Social activists to protest at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall from 13:00 and march to Kajibashi from 14:40 in Tokyo, Japan, Nov. 7.
Social activists affiliated with the Anti-My Number System Liaison Committee plan to protest at the Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall from 13:00 and march to Kajibashi from 14:40 in Tokyo on Nov. 7 to denounce the removal of health insurance cards. Activist leaders claim up to 3,000 people will participate in the demonstration. Additional demonstrations may occur near government buildings, public venues, sports centers, and thoroughfares.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely along the march route and near protest sites. Isolated scuffles between police and activists cannot be ruled out. Associated business disruptions are possible.
Avoid the protest as a precaution. Allow additional travel time near the affected areas. If clashes occur, leave the area immediately. Heed instructions from authorities.
