Authorities have canceled at least 72 flights at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) as of mid-afternoon Nov. 27 due to high winds. Wind gusts of up to 120 kph (75 mph) were reported in the area. Winds are forecast to die down late Nov. 27-early Nov. 28.

Additional cancelations are possible through early Nov. 28. Further flight disruptions are possible at AMS through early Nov. 28 as authorities work to reposition misplaced flight stock.

Reconfirm planned flights via AMS. Allow additional time for travel via AMS. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed.
