Spain: Activists to protest in Madrid and Valencia on Nov. 16
Political activists plan multiple protests in central Madrid and Valencia, Spain, from 20:00 Nov. 16; increased security likely.
Activists plan to stage protests in Madrid and Valencia on Nov. 16. The demonstrations will have different focuses. Madrid, Alcala Street: Participants will gather in support of victims of domestic violence from 12:00;
Valencia, San Augustin Square: Participants will denounce the government's response to the recent flooding in Valencia from 20:00.
Authorities are likely to increase law enforcement presence at the gathering locations to monitor the events. Localized road travel and transport disruptions are likely near the protest sites. Limited confrontations between law enforcement officers and demonstrators are possible.
