Activist groups to protest in multiple cities in the UK, Nov. 7-9 to denounce Trump's election. Tight security, disruptions likely.

Activist groups, including Stand Up to Racism, the Stop the War Coalition, and Stand Up 2 Trump, have called for protests in multiple cities. However, activist groups have not confirmed the details of a planned Nov. 9 demonstration in London. Outside of London, participation will likely not exceed several hundred. Related gatherings are likely in other urban centers across the UK. Central squares and US diplomatic offices, including the US Embassy on Nine Elms Lane in London, are potential locations for related demonstrations. Authorities will likely deploy additional police to monitor all demonstrations. Tight security is likely outside US diplomatic offices. Road travel and transport disruptions are likely near any protest sites. Limited confrontations between law enforcement officers and demonstrators are possible.
