Syrian diaspora groups protesting at Porte De Namur in Brussels, Belgium, from 10:30 on Dec. 11. Increased security, disruptions likely.
Syrian diaspora groups are protesting at Porte De Namur in Brussels as of early Dec. 11. Multiple groups are gathered from 10:30 to mark the fall of the Assad regime and to denounce Turkish military operations in northern Syria. It is possible that several hundred protestors will take part in the event.
Authorities will likely deploy additional police to facilitate the demonstration. Additional security and possible road closures will likely prompt localized transport disruptions. The event will likely pass off peacefully.
Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near protest sites. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign of any security disturbance.
