DRC: Education union to strike nationwide on Dec. 9
SYNACASS education union calls for strike across DRC on Dec. 9. Related protests possible.
The Syndicat national des chefs des travaux et assistants des services academiques (SYNACASS) education union has called for a nationwide strike on Dec. 9; organizers plan to start the strike at 07:00. The purpose of the action is to denounce the government for failing to honor agreements made during previous negotiations.
Related protests are possible near universities nationwide or government buildings such as the Ministry of Higher Education and Universities in Kinshasa.
