France: Campaigners plan to demonstrate in Bordeaux Dec. 6

Civil rights campaigners plan to demonstrate at the Parvis des Droits de l'Homme in Bordeaux from 18:30 Dec. 3. Multiple groups will demand the release from prison of Georges Abdallah, a Lebanese activist imprisoned for 40 years. Several hundred people may attend the event.

Local authorities will likely deploy increased security to facilitate the demonstration. Security measures, including possible road closures, will likely prompt travel disruptions. The event will likely pass off peacefully.
