As of the morning of Dec. 31, activists are protesting at Seoul's Hyehwa Station on Line 4, near Platforms 5 and 4, demanding that Seoul National University Hospital comply with mandatory employment laws for people with disabilities. Eyewitnesses report that police have been deployed to the area.
Police are expected to maintain an increased presence at Hyehwa Station as a precaution and to prevent rail transport disruptions. Participants may relocate the demonstration to other lines, platforms, or rail stations at short notice. Minor scuffles between demonstrators and police are possible.
