Opponents of the construction of a new sports arena for the NBA team Philadelphia 76ers, plan to hold a car caravan protest in the Center City area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, starting at 17:30 Dec. 12. They are demanding that councilmembers oppose the proposed stadium; a vote on it is scheduled for Dec. 12. Demonstrators will intend to display the traffic congestion they allege a new arena in that sector would bring. The car caravan will begin at the intersection of 11th and Market streets and will continue through 13th and 15th streets and around City Hall.
