US: Response to reported shooting near RJ Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, continues evening of Dec. 10 /update 1

Authorities are continuing to respond to a shooting near RJ Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem on Dec. 10. Police are now calling the shooting an "isolated incident" and have specified that the shooting occurred outside of the school. At least one injury is reported. Students are being evacuated from the school. It was not immediately clear whether or not a shooter had been detained.

Police will likely maintain a heightened presence near the school in the coming hours and may conduct search operations through the surrounding area. Due to the heavy police presence, transport and business disruptions are likely near RJ Reynolds High School.
