Authorities resumed flight operations at Tenerife Airport South (TFS) on the evening of Jan. 2 following an earlier aircraft incident that obstructed the airport's only runway. It is not immediately clear what caused the plane to block the runway, though officials announced the aircraft was towed off the runway.
Lingering disruptions are possible through at least early Jan. 3 as authorities work through flight backlogs.
