UK: Electrical outage prompts suspension of high-speed services between London and Ashford Jan. 3

Authorities have suspended highspeed rail travel between London St. Pancras and Ashford International stations due to an electrical line outage as of early afternoon Jan. 3. High-speed trains between London St. Pancras and Margate are canceled. Authorities are attempting to restore these services by 15:00; however, they forecast that disruptions will continue through the end of the day.

Rail disruptions, including cancellations, are likely for travel between London St. Pancras Station and both Ashford International and Margate railway stations. International rail travel between London and the Channel Tunnel is likely unable to operate as scheduled.
