Portugal: Five injured in building explosion in Lisbon August 13

Five people have been injured after an apartment building caught fire following an explosion in one of Lisbon’s historic tourist areas, Alfama, on Sunday, August 13, around 19:30 (local time).

Although the cause of the incident is yet to be determined, residents blame authorities for neglecting to adequately investigate a prevailing gas odor they had previously reported.
