Lebanon: Protest in front of parliament in Beirut August 16

Demonstrators have gathered outside the Parliament building, located on Riad Al-Solh Square, as of the morning of Wednesday, August 16. The protest coincides with a meeting of Members of Parliament, who are discussing their voting agenda. Demonstrators include civil defense volunteers, who are demanding the settlement of their case regarding the payment of salaries and allowances, as well as retired soldiers protesting the new wage grid for civil service salaries.
