Market vendors are staging a second day of protests on Tuesday, November 7. They have erected roadblocks and deployed 150 to 200 trucks to drive at reduced speed throughout Île-de-France (Paris region). As a result, significant traffic congestion has been reported, namely some 390 km (240 mi) of traffic jams as of 08:00 (local time), including around Paris.
Context
Vendors are denouncing the cancelation of the annual Christmas market traditionally held on the Champs-Elysées, which attracts around 15 million people each year.
