Italy: Public transportation strike in Rome Jan. 12

Public transportation unions in Rome plan to launch a 24-hour strike on Friday, January 12. The strike will affect all bus, tram, subway, and regional railway service provided by the Transport Company of the Municipality of Rome (ATAC). In particular, the Roma-Lido, Termini-Centocelle, and Rome-Civitascastellana-Viterbo regional rail lines will be affected. However, a minimum level of service will be provided on January 12 before 08:30 (local time) and from 17:00 to 20:00.

Unless averted, significant transportation disruptions are to be expected throughout the Rome metropolitan area during the strike.
