France: National transportation strikes March 22-23 /update 1

Multiple trade unions representing public sector workers and airline personnel have called for strikes to take place on Thursday, March 22, and Friday, March 23. On March 22, air traffic controllers will be on strike all day along with employees at the SNCF, the national rail operator. On March 22-23, pilots at the airline Hop!, a subsidiary of Air France, will strike, while Air France pilots, flight attendants, and ground crew staff are planning to strike on March 23. Significant flight disruptions (delays and cancelations) as well as reduced rail services are likely throughout France.
