Italy: Strikes to affect air travel March 24

Several strikes with the potential to affect air travel are set to take place in Italy on Saturday, March 24. Ground staff at Venice-Marco Polo (VCE) and Pisa (PSA) international airports will be on strike between noon and 16:00 and 13:00 and 17:00, respectively (local time). Furthermore, cabin crew staff at Blue Panorama Airlines will be on strike throughout the day. Flight delays and cancelations along with increased waiting times at affected airports are possible.

Transportation-related strikes are common in Italy and can be highly disruptive. However, in accordance with Italian law, minimum levels of services must be guaranteed during all strikes.
