Russia: Deadly fire at shopping center in Kemerovo (Siberia) contained March 26

More than 48  people are believed to have been killed in a fire at a shopping center in the city of Kemerovo (Siberia) which began on Sunday, March 25. The fire has reportedly been contained on Monday morning (local time), though rescue operations are ongoing. The cause of the blaze is currently unknown. 27 people remain unaccounted for and the death toll is expected to rise.

Localized transportation disruptions, including road closures, are expected over the coming hours in the vicinity of the blaze.
