South Africa: State of the Capital address in Pretoria April 12

The annual State of the Capital address will be given by Pretoria’s executive mayor at the Tshwane House on Thursday, April 12, at 11:00 (local time). A parade is scheduled to take place ahead of the address; marchers will walk from Burgers Park, beginning at 08:30, down Lilian Ngoyi Street before finishing at Tshwane House by 10:00. Associated road closures will be in place from 05:00 to 16:00 throughout the central business district (CBD). A heightened security presence is expected.
