Demonstrators clash with police in Karachi April 17; at least one person killed

Crowds of people gathered in Karachi on Tuesday, April 17, to protest the recent murder of a young girl near the city. Demonstrators clashed with police officers in the Manghopir area of the city after refusing to disperse. Officers fired live ammunition into the air and used tear gas and batons to eventually remove people from the area.
