An associated march will begin in San José at 09:00 (local time) at La Merced Park and will head toward the Legislative Assembly. Localized transportation disruptions are expected along the march route. The unions also announced that they will continue holding demonstrations until their concerns over the budget are addressed.

Context

Over 200,000 Costa Ricans participated in a related strike protesting the proposed budget on April 25. The previous strike included health workers, teachers, and transportation workers, among others.
