The summit will be held at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu in La Malbaie. Heightened security measures and traffic disruptions (including road closures) are expected in the area during the conference. Anti-G7 protests are also possible in La Malbaie and Québec City.

Context

An anti-G7 demonstration took place in Québec City in early April. The G7 is comprised of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the US.

Advice

Individuals in Québec City and Charlevoix during the summit are advised to anticipate heightened security measures and increased traffic congestion (particularly at major travel hubs), and allow for additional travel time. Adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
