Major rail disruptions June 4 due to national strike; another 48-hour strike June 12-13

Major disruptions due to a national strike by employees of CP, the national rail operator, are being reported as of Monday, June 4. Service along some 140 lines has reportedly been suspended, and will remain suspended throughout the day. Of the 140, 15 are long-distance lines, 85 are regional lines, and 37 are urban trains serving the Porto region. Residual disruptions are expected on Tuesday.
Furthermore, a second strike by CP workers is set to take place June 12-13. Similar disruptions are likely during this 48-hour period.
