Authorities give all clear after bomb threat reported near Navy Yard in Southeast Washington, DC June 11; closed roads reopened to traffic

On Monday, May 11, a bomb threat led to the temporary closure of First Street SE near the intersections of First Street and I and M streets, near the Navy Yard in Southeast Washington, DC. The threat was first reported at approximately 11:25 (local time). DC police reopened all affected roads by 12:20 (local time) upon completion of an investigation that determined there was no bomb in the area as had been initially reported.
