South Korea: Heavy rain causes disruptions June 26

On Tuesday, June 26, two airplanes collided at Gimpo International Airport (GMP) around 08:00 (local time); residual flight delays are possible throughout the day. The exact cause of the collision is unknown but could be linked to ongoing weather conditions. Heavy downpour warnings have been issued for Seoul and parts of South Chungcheong province through June 26. Over 12 cm (4.72 in) of rain as well as thunderstorms were forecast for the day. Weather conditions should return to normal on Wednesday morning.
