Seven MRT North-South Line stations to close early on Fridays and Saturdays in July due to maintenance work; BPLRT service to start late every Sunday from July 1 to October 28

Informational

Event

Seven metro stations on the SMRT North-South Line (NSL) will close early on Fridays and Saturdays for the month of July to allow for maintenance work on the line. The affected stations - Bukit Gombak, Choa Chu Kang, Yew Tee, Kranji, Marsiling, Woodlands, and Admiralty - will close at around 23:00 (local time); normal train operating hours are usually until around midnight or 01:00 daily, depending on the station. Because last trains vary by station, train authorities have advised commuters to verify train schedules ahead of time. During the early closures, normal service will continue between Sembawang and Marina South Pier MRT stations; train service between Jurong East and Bukit Batok MRT stations will operate at longer service intervals of up to ten minutes. Shuttle bus service will be available between Bukit Batok and Sembawang stations during the early closure periods, with a service interval of two to five minutes.

Meanwhile, the Bukit Banjang Light Rail Transit (BPLRT), which has been closed on Sundays since April 15 for accelerated maintenance work, is set to resume operations on Sunday, July 1. Although Sunday service on the network will resume, BPLRT stations will continue to open late on Sundays, at 08:00 (instead of the usual 05:30) from July 1 to October 28. During this period, shuttle bus service will continue to be available from 05:30 to 08:00 between BPLRT stations in both directions.
