Anti-Uber protest by taxi drivers expected to cease in San José following July 5 deal

Protests and strikes by taxi drivers in the capital San José launched on July 3 are expected to come to an end following successful negotiations with the government. As such, normal operations and traffic conditions are to be anticipated beginning on Thursday, July 5.
Context
The protests had been held to demand the government take action against
the Uber car service platform, which is technically illegal but still
operational in the country.
