Flight disruptions possible at airports in the east July 31 to August 3 due to forecast thunderstorms

As such, flight delays and cancelations are possible at airports throughout the region in the coming hours and days, including in New York City-Newark (JKF, LGA, EWR), Washington, DC-Baltimore (BWI, DCA, IAD), Philadelphia (PHL), Pittsburgh (PIT), Atlanta (ATL), and New Orleans (MSY). Disruptions are particularly likely in the afternoon and evening (local time). Other transportation disruptions, inducing hazardous driving conditions and rail disruptions, are also possible, along with associated flooding and power outages.
