Improvised explosive device (IED) detonates in crowded market in Baghdad’s Sadr City area August 14; at least three killed

An improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in a crowded market in Baghdad’s Sadr City area on the morning of Tuesday, August 14 (local time). According to police, at least three people have been killed and another four wounded. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but, according to the Ministry of the Interior, the incident is not being treated as an act of terror.
