Ethiopia: Deadly intercommunal clashes in Oromia on August 28

Event

Violent intercommunal clashes were reported on Tuesday, August 28 in Oromia. According to local sources, at least 13 members of a Somali community were killed in Babile, Chinaksen, and Tulli Guled (East Hararghe area) in clashes between ethnic Oromo and Somali militias. Further intercommunal clashes are possible in East Hararghe in the coming days.
