Civil society groups have called for demonstrations to take place throughout Western Cape province on Tuesday, September 25, to denounce increasing crime and unemployment rates. According to local sources, residents will organize a strike in Cape Flats from 05:00 to 10:00 (local time). Demonstrators are expected to gather along the N2 highway between Cape Town and Cape Town International Airport (CPT). A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions are anticipated in the vicinity of any demonstrations.
