Portugal: National rail worker strike October 1 /update 1

Employees of Comboios de Portugal (CP), the national rail operator, are holding a strike on Monday, October 1, demanding improved working conditions. According to CP, cancelations and other disruptions can be expected in national railway services (including Alfa Pendular, Intercity, Regional, and Celtic services) on Monday, and residual disturbances may persist until Tuesday. Refunds have been planned for customers whose trains are canceled. Alternate means of transportation will reportedly not be made available.
