Italy: Nationwide transportation strike on October 25-26

Unions have called for a transportation strike to take place throughout Italy on Thursday, October 25, and Friday, October 26. Rail workers at Trenitalia, Italo NTV, and Trenord will strike from 21:00 (local time) on October 25 to 21:00 on October 26. Unions have also called for public transportation workers in cities throughout Italy to strike for 24 hours on October 26. Should the work stoppage go ahead as planned, significant transportation disruptions are expected throughout Italy on October 25-26.
