Nationalist rallies are set to be held in Ukrainian cities for the 76th anniversary of the creation of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) on Sunday, October 14. In the capital Kyiv, participants will gather at 16:00 (local time) at Shevchenko University, before marching through Tarasa Shevchenko Boulevard and Khreshchatyk Street to Yevropeiska Square. A related rally will take place at Liberty Square in Lviv.

Localized transportation disruptions are expected in these areas, along with a potential heightened security presence. 

Context

The UPA is a Ukrainian nationalist paramilitary force, which was created during the Second World War.
